Annotation
The women used baskets of this type to gather berries. They carried them on their chests by means of a cord tied around their necks. When they filled these baskets they would empty the berries into a large basket that was either carried on a woman’s back or was placed on the ground. This basket was published in the Museum’s Tlingit catalog as an article attributed to the Tlingit (Tlingit 2007: 76).
