Annotation
The use of human hair as an adornment in the form of a “tail” speaks to the ritualistic use of this headdress. Most likely it is a part of a shaman’s outfit. Strings of beads and glass beads were originally attached to the upper part of the headdress and were displayed around the “tail.”
