Annotation
Table with alphabetic list of 54 European cities and their latitudes is on the face side of the 1st plate. In open (work) position - vertical and horizontal dials with thread gnomon, adjusted to latitude by a set of openings. Scale of vertical dial (for 50° only) VII-ХII-V with points in 1/4 hour. Around compass box on the 2nd plate are scales of horizontal dials for 4 latitudes: 40° - VII-ХII-V with points in 1/2 hour, 45° - 4-12-8 in 1 hour, 50° - 4-12-8 in 1/2 hour, 58° - IIII-ХII-VII in 1/2 hour. Adjustment to latitude 38° and 56° in every 2°. 8-rhumb wind rose and line of magnetic declination are on the bottom of compass box.
