Annotation
The sundial belonged to Peter I. Two types of sundial designed for St.Petersburg latitude: а) with round scale and gnomon, oriented towards celestial pole and b) with elliptical hour scale and vertical gnomon, sliding along scale of declinations. Hour scales III-ХII-IХ (setting from 2 hours 45 minutes through 9 hours 15 minutes) with 5-minute scale division. Scales of solar hour determination is of calendar type with 1-day divisions and degree one; time of the Sun rise and setting in each month is shown on the secondary scale. Inscriptions: "Petersburgh Lat 60:00”, “J.Bradlee Mosco Fecit". The only known clock by John Bradlee of his Moscow period of life.
