Annotation
Two-sided poleaxes were used by Irani horsemen as saddle axes. Dervishes - Muslim pilgrims-mystics, who often took part in combats of Irani army were weaponed with such axes. Dervishes’ weapon has symbolic function as well. In Isphahan axes were used in rite of camel offering during Eid al-Adha.
